The aerodynamic performance of these wheels has been meticulously refined, with aero rims, spokes, and hubs designed to the finest detail. However, to further optimise the wheel-tyre system (WTS), it became evident that an aerodynamic tyre was essential. When no existing tyre could meet the stringent requirements for low aero drag and balanced handling, Swiss Side and DT Swiss joined forces to develop their own solution. Their established partnership led them to collaborate with Continental, who provided advanced rubber technology. This cooperation resulted in the AERO 111 front wheel tyre, which perfectly complements the wheel's design and sets new aerodynamic standards.

The tyre features 48 small cavities, evenly distributed across its surface. These vortex generators are specifically engineered to manage turbulence in the airflow around the front wheel, reducing drag throughout the entire wheel-tyre system and ensuring a more efficient ride.
