The aerodynamic performance of these wheels has been meticulously refined, with aero rims, spokes, and hubs designed to the finest detail. To further optimise the wheel-tyre system (WTS), the need for an aerodynamic tyre became apparent. When no existing tyre met the rigorous demands for low aero drag and balanced handling, Swiss Side and DT Swiss collaborated to create their own solution. Their strong partnership led to a collaboration with Continental, whose advanced rubber technology played a key role in the development of the AERO 111 front wheel tyre. This tyre seamlessly complements the wheel’s design, establishing new aerodynamic benchmarks.

The tyre incorporates 48 small cavities, evenly distributed across its surface. These vortex generators are specifically engineered to control turbulence in the airflow around the front wheel, reducing drag across the entire wheel-tyre system and ensuring a more efficient ride.
