The aerodynamic performance of these wheels has already been meticulously refined, with aero rims, spokes, and hubs designed to the smallest detail. However, to elevate the optimisation of the wheel-tyre system (WTS) even further, an aerodynamic tyre was needed. As no existing tyre met the high standards for low aero drag and balanced handling, Swiss Side and DT Swiss decided to develop their own. Their long-standing partnership naturally led them to seek a tyre expert, and Continental became the ideal collaborator, contributing advanced rubber technology. The result is the AERO 111 front wheel tyre, which complements the wheel's design perfectly, creating a unified system that sets new aerodynamic standards. 

The tyre’s surface features 48 small cavities known as vortex generators, specifically designed to control turbulence in the airflow on the front wheel. This innovative feature reduces drag across the entire wheel-tyre system, delivering a more efficient and streamlined ride.
